The operating challenge
A hotspot service depends on several connected activities: defining internet plans, creating vouchers, managing subscriber access, maintaining routers and recording payments. When those activities are separated, support takes longer and managers have less visibility into what happened.
Gigacon needed an operational system shaped around the relationship between the customer, the payment and network access.
What SkyTower delivered
SkyTower developed RadiusBilling as a web-based management platform integrated with RADIUS operations and payment workflows. It brings the core administrative tasks into one controlled environment.
- Internet-plan and voucher-batch management
- Subscriber accounts and subscription records
- Router and hotspot-site administration
- RADIUS authentication and accounting visibility
- Payment and mobile-money transaction records
- Arrears, thresholds and disbursement workflows
- Support for distinct tenant and product configurations
A clearer daily workflow
The implementation gives the operating team a shared view instead of requiring separate tools for each part of the service. Staff can trace the relevant plan, subscriber, payment and network information when resolving an issue or reviewing activity.
Designed from real use
The Gigacon deployment continues to inform how RadiusBilling is structured. That real operating context is important: the product is not a generic dashboard added on top of a network. It reflects the practical work required to provide paid hotspot access.
